ACTIVITIES AND RESEARCH

In recent years HYGRANER has gained a recognized experience, covering different technological areas, for terrestrial and space applications.

The developed products are easy to use, ready to use and with low costs.

The research conducted by our Start Up, allowed us to modify both the basic epoxy resins and those already toughened. These are used in the impregnation of fabrics, or carbon yarns: prepreg, or wire.
The addition of Grafene has led to the emergence of a new range of aesthetic, structural and / or high-performance prepregs with mechanical performance (impact resistance, traction, abrasion, etc.) never achieved before. Furthermore, Grafene has improved the electrical and thermal conductivity of the products, regardless of the type of weft, thickness, or weight.

In some cases, this translates into a substantial reduction in weight of the prepreg products.

The impregnation of fabrics was carried out using both "Hot-Melt" and "Solvent-based" technology.

In the Automotive sector, parts of racing car frames were made; for Aerospace, components that are mechanically more robust, resistant to atmospheric discharges (lightning), shielding electromagnetic interference, thermally dissipative, and electrically active.

Substantial improvements in terms of sealing and impermeability + 20% have been achieved in the winding processes of the carbon wires (filament winding), with a weight reduction (of wire) equal to 5%.

Further products, with different types of epoxy, or phenolic resins have been developed for pultrusion and RTM techniques.

We are able to produce a type of graphene for the production of filters for desalination of water, or for the absorption of oils, fuels and heavy metals.

Several patents have been obtained in the field of coatings (coating and paint - also for the food industry) of metal, ceramic and plastic surfaces. All the treated surfaces have achieved important improvements in terms of resistance to chemical agents, weathering, scratches and wear.
